This is one of my favourite synth libraries and comes with an amazing 3,554 presets in 9 categories.

@tony10000 posted about it in this thread ; thanks for the suggestion Tony!

NOTE: To use this you need to own full Unify and UVI Synth Anthology 3 running inside the free UVI Workstation VST.

Just drag/drop the guru file in the link below onto the Unify UI. It will create a library called Unified - Synth Anthology 3.

Synth Anthology 3 Unified

I used a custom AHK script for this but with so many presets there is a chance that a few errors crept in, although I do check and cross-check them after completion e.g. checking start/end patch for each bank tallies between Unify and SA3. So if you spot any then let me know so that I can fix them in a future update.

I have started trying to include macro knob mappings but it's just a start. If you have any ideas/suggestions for different mappings please let me know and I'll see if I can add them to a future update.

Enjoy!

Hi Jeremy.

Thanks for the guru file.  My initial report as follows:

I tried clicking a patch and nothing happened so I opened up UVI SA3 and saw this message:

Unable to mount the volume from 'V:/UVISoundBanks/Synth Anthology 3.ufs' (Invalid File).  This was followed by a long list of missing samples.

I then loaded another patch as a Unify layer and this opened up correctly along with a few other patches.

So the first solution would be to load the first patch as a dummy patch and when loading extra patches, just go into the next patch, click into the UVI SA3 VST and start it manually by loading the UVI SA3 folder as you would with the standalone version.

The second and best long-term solution would be to go into Batch operations and enlist the update multiple patches option having first performed the first solution detailed above.

However as this details 3554 patches to update and an estimated time of 9 hours and 54 minutes, I think this would be better done as an overnight operation.

Unify really does open up UVI SA3 and makes it a much easier plugin to use.

Hi Patrick,

That is odd and sounds almost like the Kontakt situation where it stores the absolute location of samples rather than a reference to it.

My UVI sound banks are indeed stored on one of my SSDs (in V:\UVISoundBanks).

I'm just wondering how this issue didn't affect @tony10000

When you open UVI Workstation in Unify by first clicking an SA3 patch does it list V:\UVISoundBanks in Preferences / SoundBanks?

If so maybe you need to remove that reference so that it uses YOUR default location (after making sure that yours is listed). It looks like saving a UVI Workstation preset in Unify also saves the SoundBank location information.

I guess another alternative would be to try adding a symlink which links V:\UVISoundBanks to wherever your SoundBanks are located or running the batch operation as you suggested.

Are you on Windows or Mac?

I am on Windows 10.

I have just spotted that in Preferences / Soundbanks my copy of SA3 is listed in places (which I have always just clicked to get started) not the Soundbanks section.  The simple solution is that I have now added the separate directory that UVI installed my copy of SA3 into in Preferences and now all of the Unified patches load as needed.

It's a bit odd why UVI should not have a single Soundbanks folder as my current preferences list shows 4 other directories as well.  Rather like the mess that Windows and developers make of VST installations.

Many thanks again for the great conversion!

Glad you got it sorted Patrick 👍

Trying this out now myself.  Good to know of Patrick's issue to watch out for.
