Maybe even just a column with a checkbox on this screen, so if there a known unified library, I can just check it to add it in?

Hi Shane. I was thinking of an easy way to add unified libraries. Perhaps a list in a table, like the VST's, where I can just click and it will download the zip, decompress and merge the .unify file into the library. Untick will remove it again.

Obviously, you'd still need to download the underlying VST and install it separately, but it would make adding unified libraries a breeze.

I'll add this to the to-do list, but please note you're talking about something which is "easy" for you, but not easy for me to add.

@getdunne haha. I'm a developer too. It's nice to be a customer once in a while 🙂

Hi

Thank you for unifying Abbey Road.

I am new to Unify so please forgive if I am not seeing the obvious.

I noticed that Expression and Dynamics are tied together, whenever I move one, the other moves the same way.

How can i change this? I like to ride the diferent faders independently..

Thank you!

@oka , it is my pleasure. I will go back and check to see if I am seeing this as well. When you are in a groove unifying things you always run the risk of something slipping through the cracks.

One way you can decouple these controls is “left click” on one of the sliders and select forget MIDI assignment (or something similar). That way the previously assigned MIDI CC would be removed but the linked parameter would still be active.

Let me know how it goes.

Joyfully,
Simeon

SPITFIRE AUDIO APPASSIONATA STRINGS

After the livestream yesterday I thought it was only appropriate to Unify Appassionata.
It is such a beautifully executed library.

INCLUDED:
All Factory Presets
Individual Articulation Presets
Ensemble Patch
All Microphone Mixes Mapped To Macro Knobs

As always please let me know if you run into anything unusual as well as if you come up with any interesting patches using Appassionata and the unify factory content.

Enjoy!
Simeon

UPDATE - I realized after uploading the initial zip file that I needed to go back and update the Unify Transport State to MANUAL START/STOP. For some reason, the Spitfire Player cuts notes off short if the Unify Transport is set to MIDI / Quick Stop.
Make sure you download this update if you had downloaded the original zip file.

Hello Simeon, Nothing loads?  Do I need to tell Unify where the files are??   Opps, nevermind. It was the VST3 thing which has to be specifically called out in the plugin manager. All is good now.  Actually, all is wonderful.  Dan

@ola , I just checked it here. It might be that there are duplicate Macro Knob Assignments as well as in the Abbey Road ONE plugin itself.

Typically Expression is always set to CC11, while Dynamics is always set to use CC1 (Mod wheel).
You can open the Abbey Road Plugin and Right Click on the sliders and see what MIDI CC is assigned to it. There is an option to REMOVE the assignment and it will still respond to the Macro Knob since the parameter is tied to it.

Keep me posted.

That was easy!😎

Yes, I always try and use the VST2 variant of a virtual instrument.

@praisetracks, that's it!

Removing the assignment in Abbey Road plugin solves the problem 👍

Thank you so much, Simeon!

Hi Simeon,

I'm right in the middle of a mixing session & in a hurry so excuse me if already posted. I'm noticing on your Spit Appas. Ens. preset Instr3- Violas Direct Send is +10 db..is this correct or should it be 0db as the others?

Thanks, just started with Unify, very much a newbie & thanks again for your work. -c

Carl,
I would say it is most likely an error, probably bumped a control before saving the patch. Feel free to adjust it properly and then go to SAVE and select UPDATE to make the change.

I am glad the patches are helpful, it makes all the difference to have these to work more fluidly inside of Unify.

Joyfully!
Simeon
