This uses installed Unify audio effects, Modwheel alters the Lead dynamics.  Bass ignores modwheel.  Bass has no reverb.  Same "Synth1" patch used for both the BASS and LEAD parts on the keyboard.    Let me know if this works!! cheers, Glen.

Works fine for me.

You might want to advise people to unzip and put the .unify file into the User Library/Patches folder, then rebuild the patch database and look for the new patch called SPLIT BASS/LEAD - Doskpop Lead (mw). You should also mention that this requires the VST version of Synth1, which can be downloaded from https://plugins4free.com/plugin/245/.

I stumbled across this thread, as you do when falling down random Internet rabbit holes... and I was astonished to find that whilst the (still working) Mac VST version is (thankfully) a 64 bit version from back in 2014, the Mac AU version was updated earlier this year, a gap of seven years! Well done to that developer I say 🙂

Here's the developers (Japanese) Synth1 page if you fancy taking a look yourself 🙂 - https://daichilab.sakura.ne.jp/softsynth/index.html

@getdunne are there any plans for a "button" that opens up the "default user library area".  I think that my user area is hidden by default on my microsoft windows file explorer.   I sometimes have to locate a patch that I know is in my user library and right-click within unify to show me the directory.

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. We made a fateful decision very early on, to embed each patch's library-name into the patch file itself, so a patch designated e.g. "User Library" will still show up in our browser under "User Library", even if it's not in the Libraries/User Library/Patches folder.

I sincerely doubt that your User Library folder is hidden. What's more likely is that you have simply ended up with some files that belong there, but are elsewhere. I can help you sort that out, if you like.

Try opening Unify's main data folder (in Settings, click the Open... button), and then open the Libraries sub-folder. Looks for a folder called User Library in there, and one called Patches in that. If those folders aren't present, that would be unexpected; let me know.

Inside the Libraries folder, look for a file called Presets.db (you might not see the ".db" extension), zip it and post here. I can do a quick analysis and send you back a list of all the patch files that aren't where they should be.

@getdunne Yes I see what you mean.    My user library is not hidden.   I think I was getting mixed up with where the "dexed" cartridges get stored!!!   My user library is at C:\Users\Public\Documents\PlugInGuru\Unify\Libraries...    "Dexed" stores its cartridges C:\Users\glenj\AppData\Roaming\DigitalSuburban\Dexed....   and that is normally hidden from my browser!!!

@glenjdiamond

Those are VERY different, unrelated.

My offer remains open, in case you are concerned that some files are out of place.
