Hey Folks:

Once again, since a number of you here are users of Maschine Jam in generic MIDI mode, I thought it was a good place to query a strange issue.

I have Logic Pro 10.7.5. I found that I'm unable to use Maschine Jam as a MID controller in Logic. Looking inside the CS setup, while the Jam will show up via the MIDI Output drop down when I choose Mackie Control, the MIDI Input shows up as "Invalid Input." When I use the drop-down menu, the Jam is not showing up on the list. I do see on the device that the light brightens on the current track in Logic, but none of the buttons on the device seems to communicate with Logic.

I did briefly opened up Ableton Live to see if it may be a hardware issue, but the inputs there were usable: the buttons and the touch pads, all working.

This is a bit of weirdness and I'm hoping someone else might know what's going on.

Thanks!

Hey There:

So someone on the Logic Pro Help forum pointed me to check for any sort of input conflict, which, considering that all of my devices were working in harmony, confounded me. But when I went to Logic Pro--->Preferences/Settings--->MIDI---->Inputs, for some reason there were two instances of Maschine Jam Input, one of them checked. After unchecking one and then checking the other, the hardware responded in the way that it should.

I plan to let NI know about it, once its support gets back to me. But there it is, in case anyone else runs into this glitch. Not sure if it occurred during a recent update, be it Maschine or MacOS Ventura, or something else, but in case you hit that wall, this is your way out.
