Problem installing Renegade Bonus patch update
I have downloaded and unzipped the file and tried installing via drag-and-drop and by the settings cog, but the patches do not appear in my library.
The "Do you want to install MC Renegade Update" message appears..... I click OK and a new message appears that says Installing new Unify content and this window stays for just a few seconds, showing 0%, and then the "New content installed successfully" window appears - but the patches are nowhere to be found.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Are you on Mac or Windows? Did you drop the .guru file into the Unify stand-alone app, or into a Unify plug-in inside a DAW? If so, which DAW?
Right after you dismiss the "new content installed successfully" pop-up, Unify should automatically rebuild the patch database. Did it not do that?
If you select the Modern Cinema - Renegade in the libraries menu at the top of the patch browser, what does the patch-count say at the bottom. (If you don't see the patch count, go to Settings, scroll down to "Patch browser" and check the "Show patch count" box.)
If the patch count for Renegade shows fewer than 110, please try clicking the lightning-bolt button at the top, to update the patch database. If the count says 110 (or possibly up to 116) after you do this, you should be good to go.

What confused me was this......... from the How to Install Renegade UPDATE.txt file :
THE NEW PATCHES CAN BE FOUND BY TYPING "BONUS" INTO THE SEARCH BAR
That does nothing, so I thought I didn't have the new patches - I guess that the new patches were supposed to have "Bonus" in the name ?

In Unify v1.8, there's a "..." button next to the search box, which allows you to select which fields are searched. If you have anything other than "ALL" or "Tags" selected, you'll get the result you described. The Renegade bonus patches have "Bonus" in the Tags field.
I apologise - I think this was "user error" - I have now changed the selection in the "..." box, and all is good.
