Is there an easy way to do this?

I see there is a workaround opening an empty layer (which I cant get to work) but wondering if an easy way to do this has been developed?

Thanks for help.

Short answer? No, there's no way to hear what a Unify patch sounds like without opening it, i.e., loading it into Unify and playing a few notes.

Usually, when people ask about this, they really mean "is there a way to try different Unify patches together with whatever layers I already have?" This can be done as follows:

  1. Locate the first patch you're interested in, right-click and choose "Load into new Unify layer".
  2. Click the Solo ("S") button in the new INST layer, so you hear only that new patch (or leave it off to hear the patch together with other layers).
  3. Double-click where it says "Unify", to open the embedded Unify.
  4. Click various other patches, to swap out the first one, and play notes to hear the resulting combination. Keep going till you find one you like.
