MIDI Effects Context Menu: Where do the preset options come from in the context menu?

The menu items you see are primarily based on plug-in subset presets; see https://pluginguru.net/unify/manual/doku.php?id=plugin-subsets.

@getdunne Pardon me if I feel particularly dense today, it must be Friday... but I cannot follow that leap in the manual (as illustrated in the attached screenshot). For the life of me, I cannot see any of the mentioned "Preset" function related buttons in the page that manages the favorite plugins. And no matter how much I browse around on that page "Favorite Plug-in Presets", I cannot find the BlueARP example presets I see in the aforementioned menu anywhere (as a point of reference I like to look at) What am I missing?

This is a snapshot of the screen I see when I call up the "Favorite Plug-in Subsets" menu. No matter how much I click around on the different options, I never get buttons labeled with "Preset" as illustrated in the manual. Am I in the right menu?

Sorry, I misled you. I just checked your first post again. The presets you're referring to there (on the "Add MIDI Effects" menu) are previously saved Layer Presets; see https://pluginguru.net/unify/manual/doku.php?id=layer-stack-view#layer_ops_button_and_layer_presets.

To create a new MIDI Effects layer preset, you need to start by adding a new empty MIDI Effects layer, add plug-ins to set it up the way you want, then use the "ops menu" (concentric circles icon at right-hand end of the layer) to save the whole layer as a preset. Provided you save the preset in the folder Unify opens for you, the next time you select the "Add MIDI Effects" menu, you'll see your new preset listed.

BTW, that Discourse.org forum platform has a neat feature, when a user brings up an issue, and one of the responses solves their original request, Discourse lets you flag the solution to the original request. It's a nifty way to organize the forum inquiries with associated resolutions. Also has some Wiki functionality. I tried to flag your response as the solution here, but WP probably doesn't have that.

@getdunne Now THIS is supercool... when I go into the Windows Explorer, and manually create additional sub-folder structures, they actually show up in Unify. So I can build organized (nested) menus of layer presets. Feels like I discovered an easter egg 🙂

For those who want to try organizing their MIDI effects as well...

The information is stored in ..\PluginGuru\Unify\Presets\Layer Presets\Midi Layers\...

If you create your own folder structure to organize your presets, they will show up organized in the context menu in Unify.
