Hold button and record feature

WAV output is coming in a future update.

Please explain what a Hold button should do; I'm not familiar with them.

It's kind of like a sustain pedal so it will "hold" a key (or keys) you press once, and it will keep it sustaining. For instance, Minimonsta has a Hold button on the left side of the keyboard. 

Every MIDI and INST layer in Unify has this feature already; it's called "Latch". See https://pluginguru.net/unify/manual/doku.php?id=layer-stack-view#midi_controls .

Instead of choosing "Raw MIDI In" (shows as "IN") in the top-left box of the layer's MIDI-controls cluster, you choose either "MIDI In, Mono Latch" ("LM") or "MIDI In, Poly Latch" ("LP"). A new "Latch" ("L") button appears to the left, and you must click it to enable latching (lights up bright green).

At the very bottom of the GUI, aligned below all the "L" buttons, there's a circle-with-slash icon you can hit at any time, to cancel all latched notes on all layers.

It's funny as I just ran into one of the presets that uses that feature and I was thinking, wait... that seems like the feature I was just asking about!  Then I logged in here and saw your answer. -haha  =)

Shane, could you please add MIDI Learn capability to the Cancel Latch feature? Would be nice to cancel latch from a foot switch, or other controller without having to hit the exact key that initially enabled the latch.

I will look into the MIDI learn idea, but for now, look for the circle-with-diagonal-slash icon at the very far left along the bottom of the Unify GUI. You can click this at any time to cancel ALL latched notes, on all layers.

The "MIDI panic" icon (exclamation mark in a circle) int the middle part of the icon strip also cancels held notes, then resets/silences all plug-ins.

The button you are referring to (circle with slash) is the one that I was suggesting be assignable via MIDI Learn.

I'll add this to the to-do list.
