Got myself in a complete mess earlier working with Unify in "Inception" mode 😀, the parent layer was muted and I couldn't work out why the instance 3 layers deep wasn't making any sound as it wasn't muted, except it was on the root instance.
Would be nice to have some sort of visual feedback if the child instsance is muted somehow.

That's a tricky one. I agree it would be good to have a visual indication, but in general, plug-ins don't know that they are muted. (Mute is a mixer function, not the same as bypass, which plug-ins do know about.)
I'll think about this and see if I can come up with something.
